With cabaret magic (sometimes known as parlour magic), the magician can perform for more people simultaneously than with close-up. Close-up magic is wonderful for corporate events, wedding receptions and parties where people are milling about and chatting in small groups. Cabaret magic is great as after-dinner entertainment at corporate functions or any large gathering.
Cabaret magic is suitable for medium to large audiences, when there is no stage available. All the action happens much closer to many spectators than in theatre performances; cabaret contains a lot of audience participation and fun. Not only does Iain borrow various objects from audience members but often the volunteers themselves take part in creating the magic.
